Following the success of the first two Virtual Job Summits, Bio Careers is excited to present our third edition, the Bio Careers Virtual Job Summit Fall 2012. Several employers’ virtual booths already opened for jobseeker review on August 1st with more coming in future weeks. You can learn more about the event and register here: http://www.biocareers.com/virtual-job-summit/
The Summit is solely dedicated to life science graduate students, postdocs and alumni. You can meet top U.S. and international employers like Covance,, National Academies of Science, St Jude, Kelly Scientific and others.
The best thing about this online job fair is that you do not need to travel, nor disturb your busy schedule. Another advantage is the fact that instead of queuing for long hours at offline events, now you can video chat with top employers one on one and use your time as you wish while waiting for your name to come up. Visit other booths in the Job Summit or do other work near your computer while signed into the event. Recruiters will invite you to video chat when your name comes to the top of their list. All you have to do is place your name on the recruiter’s signup sheet, located in their virtual booth. Hurry up, seats are limited.
Visiting a booth has never been so easy; it’s just a few clicks away from your mouse. Here are the instructions:
1. Log in on the Job Summit page: http://www.biocareers.com/virtual-job-summit
You will be directed in the page called “Bio Careers Campus”
2. Click on the Hall you want to visit, next to the Auditorium
3. On entering the virtual hall, you will see several online booths. Click on the one you would like to visit
4. Click on the screens provided by each employer in its booth (either job listings or white papers or videos, etc). Leave your resume and save the documents you find interesting in your virtual briefcase.
The Summit is free for all registered members of Bio Careers. Here is the link to register for Bio Careers, if you’re not a member already: http://biocareers.com/user/register?campaign=Linkedin
Feel free to share this event with your peers.
Good luck in your job search!
